Reliable for Bitcoin hosting

This isn't my first time with Xtraorbit; I've been using their Bitcoin hosting for a couple of years now for various small sites. They're consistently reliable, and I've never had any major downtime. This latest order for another shared hosting plan went as smoothly as the others. Payment with Bitcoin is always seamless, which is a big plus for me. It's why I keep coming back, honestly. Their support is also pretty quick if you ever need them, which is rare.

Good shared hosting, minor hiccup

I signed up for shared web hosting with Xtraorbit last month. The pricing was competitive, and the features were pretty standard for what I needed. Performance has been solid, no major complaints there. The only small issue I had was with the initial domain transfer; it took a bit longer than I expected, around 48 hours to fully propagate, but support was responsive when I inquired. Overall, it's good value, and I'd consider them again for future projects.

Fantastic VPS, super fast setup!

I just got a Linux VPS from Xtraorbit and it's incredible! The setup was so quick, honestly, I was up and running in minutes. It's exactly what I needed for my project. I'm telling all my developer friends about this place. Will definitely be ordering again!

Detailed review of VPS purchase

I recently purchased an Unmanaged Linux VPS from Xtraorbit, specifically their SSD Hosting package. The ordering process was fairly intuitive, though I did spend a moment looking for the specific configuration options I needed among the various VPS types. Payment via Perfect Money was quick and confirmed instantly. The VPS activation itself was surprisingly fast; I received my login details and IP address in my inbox within about 15 minutes of payment confirmation, which was impressive. I immediately tested the SSH access and found the OS installation to be clean, as expected. So far, the server performance has been robust for my development environment, with low latency and good read/write speeds on the SSD. I haven't had to contact support yet, which I consider a good sign. For anyone looking for an unmanaged solution with diverse payment options, this seems like a solid choice. The control panel is standard, easy enough to navigate. I'm keeping an eye on long-term stability, but initial impressions are very positive.

Easy domain registration

Needed a new domain for a small side project, and Xtraorbit made it super easy. The website was straightforward, I found what I wanted fast. Paid with Skrill, which was handy. No fuss, no drama, just got the domain sorted. Happy with how it all went down.

My unmanaged Linux VPS speeds from Xtraorbit have been a bit inconsistent lately, especially during peak hours. Anyone else noticing this in the EU locations?

M maxwell 2 weeks ago
Mine is an SSD hosting plan, also unmanaged, in Germany. Had a slight dip last week but it cleared up. Maybe a temporary network issue on their end? I'd open a ticket and ask them to check the node status.

Following this thread, curious if it's widespread.

Good idea, will open a ticket. Thanks.

I'm on a high bandwidth server with them in the Netherlands, and it's been pretty stable for me. Maybe your instance needs a quick reboot? Sometimes that helps clear things up for unmanaged servers.

P PriyaR 2 weeks ago
Could be. Sometimes a migration to a different node helps, but that's usually initiated by support.

R Rahul87 2 weeks ago
Tried rebooting, no change. Still seems off.

I have an unmanaged Linux VPS with them, but mine is in the US. Haven't noticed any major drops, though I don't run anything super resource-intensive. Have you checked your server load or logs for anything unusual?

Which specific EU location are you on? Could be regional.

Logs are clean, load is normal. It feels like network congestion more than server resources.

Thinking of moving my domains to Xtraorbit, currently with Namecheap. Anyone compare them recently for domain management and pricing?

P Priya 1 month ago
I moved a few domains from Namecheap to Xtraorbit last year. Registration deals were pretty good, especially with the bulk discount. Transfers were smooth enough, took about 5-7 days each to complete. Privacy protection was included which was a plus.

Was the renewal price similar after the first year?

Did you notice any difference in their DNS management interface? Namecheap's is pretty intuitive.

I heard Xtraorbit domains are locked for 60 days after transfer, true?

I use Xtraorbit for domains and some shared hosting. The domain pricing is competitive, especially with the annual billing discount. I've had no major issues. Support is decent, not super fast but they get the job done. Good for crypto payments if that's your thing.

How's their email hosting add-on if you've tried it?

Bitcoin payment bonus still active?

Honestly, for just domains, I don't see a huge difference. Both are reliable. Xtraorbit sometimes has better promos for the first year, but renewals usually level out. I'd check their current offers for your specific TLDs. Namecheap's support is generally quicker for domain issues in my experience.

Yeah, Namecheap support is solid. That's my main concern.

I agree, if you only need domains, stick with what you know unless the price difference is massive.

How long does it actually take to get a VPS set up after you pay? Need something quickly for a project.

P Paula Nguyen 1 month ago
Mine was almost instant, like within 15-20 minutes after payment. Got the login details pretty quick.

C Cody 1 month ago
Yeah, if it's a standard config, it's really fast. Custom stuff might take a bit longer but usually still within an hour or two.

Anyone used Xtraorbit vs Namecheap for domain registration? Wondering if there's any real difference in pricing or features.

T Tom H. 1 month ago
Namecheap is usually cheaper for the first year, but Xtraorbit sometimes has better renewal rates or bundles with hosting. Depends on what you're getting.

C Colin 1 month ago
Honestly, for just domains, they're both fine. Xtraorbit might be better if you're also getting hosting from them, keeps everything in one place.

Does anyone know if Xtraorbit has any deals for new customers? Looking at a VPS plan, but don't want to sign up if there's a coupon I'm missing.

I Ivy 2 months ago
They usually have some kind of intro discount, yeah. Check their main page or just try a quick google for 'Xtraorbit first month discount'.

P Priya J. 2 months ago
i think most of their promos are for the first billing cycle only. so you get a good chunk off initially but then it goes to regular price. still worth it tho.

Are their Black Friday deals usually good? Thinking of waiting to get a dedicated server plan.

M Mark Q. 2 months ago
Oh yeah, Black Friday/Cyber Monday is when they drop some serious discounts, especially on the bigger plans. Definitely worth waiting if you can.

Last year I snagged a pretty sweet deal on a reseller plan during that period. Saved a good chunk.

Hey guys, thinking about moving my site over to Xtraorbit. Are they actually good for crypto payments? Like, does it actually work smoothly or is it a hassle?

M Mike 2 months ago
Yeah, it's pretty seamless. Used Bitcoin for my last renewal, went through without a hitch.

I've used Skrill with them a few times, no issues at all. One of the reasons I went with them, tbh.

what's their refund policy like? just in case the VPS isn't a good fit for my needs, could I get my money back?

T Troy Foster 2 months ago
Pretty sure they have a money-back guarantee, though I've never used it. Always check the terms though, sometimes there are conditions.

A Anna 2 months ago
Yeah, they do. I think it's for like, the first month or something? Check their site, it should be listed in the FAQs.
